Living legend of Iranian traditional music Mohammadreza Shajarian will be performing at the Art Hall in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq on July 20 and 21.
Shajarian and his band, Ava, have been invited by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani’s wife to perform the concerts.
“Bagh Dad Bar Ber” heading to Locarno filmfest
TEHRAN -- The Iranian short film “Bagh Dad Bar Ber” is slated to be screened at the 61st Locarno Film Festival, which will be held in Switzerland from August 6 to 16.
Directed by Masud Bakhshi, the film is about a Baghdadi barber, who has to pay the price for what he most desires.
“Bagh Dad Bar Ber” and 22 other films from 20 countries will be competing at the section “The Leopards of Tomorrow”, which offers an outstanding overview of short film production worldwide..
