Spain calls Iran 3rd trade partner in Persian Gulf

Special trade advisor to Spain’s embassy in Iran referred to the Islamic Republic as Spain’s third trade partner in the Persian Gulf.
“In 2007, Spain stood sixth among European Union members in its trade volume,” Maria Dibes said, Press TV reported.
She also noted that due to Asian markets high capacity, Spain is interested in entering these markets.
“We want to increase our presence in Asian markets and divert our trade relations with Latin American countries towards Asia,” she added.
Dibes also voiced her country’s interest towards investing in Iran’s energy sector.
Spain was one of the 30 countries which took part in April’s International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran and Spanish oil Co. Repsol is involved in the development of phase 14 of the South Pars gas field in Iran.
