The Italian company WTD has invested 220 million euros in Iran in the past ten years.
The company’s managing director made the above statement at the ceremony to sign an agreement on establishing a water desalination unit in South Pars Special Economic Zone, IRNA reported.
He noted that most of the company’s deals with Iran were in the form of BOT and BOO contracts.
“We intend to continue our cooperation with Iran on the basis of mutual respect,“ he said, adding that the company believes in the economic and political significance of Iran.
The WTD chief noted that his company will do its best to implement the project, stressing that such projects will prove to be beneficial in future.
The agreement to set up a water desalination unit in South Pars Special Economic Zone was signed between the managing directors of Iran’s Pars Petrochemical Company and WTD.
The project will go on stream next month and is expected to be completed within three years.
