IRI's and Iraqi officials signed a memorandum of understanding on geology and mine exploitation.
The agreement was inked by director of Iran's Geology and Mine Exploitation Organization for international affairs Hadi Meygouni and deputy head of Iraq's Geology Organization for executive affairs Safa Foad.
The two officials called for expansion of Tehran-Baghdad ties and following up implementation of the agreements already signed between the two countries.
Meygouni said that grounds are prepared for Iran-Iraq cooperation on geology and mine.
He added that an Iraqi delegation will pay a visit to Iran in the next three months at the invitation of Iran's Geology and Mine Exploitation Organization.
