Thirty Iranian companies took part in the 55th Damascus International Exhibition which was kicked off here on Friday night.
The Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Hosni Lutfi inaugurated the fair in the presence of other Syrian ministers and officials as well as ambassadors to Damascus including Iran’s Chargé d'affaires Bahaoddin Borujerdi.
According to IRNA, the fair will run to Aug. 22.
The fair showcases the products and achievements of Iranian companies, active in the fields of home and silo construction, tractor manufacturing, home appliances, furniture, packaging machinery, foodstuff, road building, chinaware and crystals, polyethylene products, plasticware, automotive and electric supplies.
Some foreign companies from Cuba, Algeria, Brazil, Oman, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan are attending the event for the first time.
