IRI, Kenya hold 5th joint commission

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Kenya have opened the fifth joint commission in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.
Addressing the commission, IRI's Minister of Agriculture said that the Iranian government's policy focuses on cooperation with the African states.
Mohammad-Reza Eskandari added that Iran has given priority to broaden ties with Kenya as an African country.
Eskandari said that the joint economic commission is expected to determine the ways to develop mutual cooperation, stressing cooperation on agriculture.
Delivering a speech in the commission, Kenyan Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula said that his country prefers to study cooperation with Iran on education, health, culture, human resources and water supplies.
Referring to IRI-Kenya deep-rooted historical ties, the Kenyan Foreign Minister hoped that the two sides would ink several agreements on various fields.
