Iran suggests Tehran-Berlin joint economic commission set up

The head of Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines in a meet with his German counterpart in Berlin proposed for setting up a joint economic commission in order to boost the bilateral trade ties and remove hurdles in this regard.
Mohammad Nahavandian referred to the historic bilateral relations between Iran and Germany in different fields saying global political crises will dent economic relations, IRNA reported on Monday.
Sanctions against Iranian banks have proved to be ineffective as a means for attaining political objectives, the officials said.
“Germany, for instance, has suffered repercussions of sanctions against Iran by losing some 10,000 job opportunities. So, I recommend German leaders to resolve disputes through negotiation,” Nahavandian observed.
The German official, for his part, stated that Iran is an important country and Germany will not give up trade opportunities in that country.
