China Trade to Hit $25b

Iran’s ambassador to China has said that trade between Iran and China is on the rise and may exceed $25 billion this year.
Taransaction between the two countries stood at more than $20 billion in 2007 and is expected to grow by 25 percent this year to $25 billion, said Javad Mansouri in an interview with China Radio International.
Trade between Iran and China began to grow at an accelerating pace after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he said.
According to Presstv, the ambassador cited the ’positive outlook’ of Iran and China to each other as the reason for the growth in commercial ties and added that both sides have long been familiar with each other’s history and culture.
Mansouri noted that Iran and China have ample potentials for further expansion of trade in the future, saying that there is ’no obstacle’ to the growth of bilateral trade.
The senior envoy wished Beijing success in hosting the Olympic Games to begin August 8.
