IRI to dispatch labor to Qatar

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar on Monday inked a letter of understanding on dispatch of Iranian labor to Qatar.
The accord was signed by Iranian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mohammad Jahromi and his Qatari counterpart, Sultan Hassanal-Dosary.
According to the letter of understanding, the Islamic Republic is to dispatch to Qatar workforce in the areas of agriculture, oil and gas, petrochemicals, health, information technology, and tourism, as well as steel, aluminum and copper industries.
The agreement also called for joint research works in the area of oil, gas and petrochemicals.
Pointing to a decline in the number of Iranian manpower dispatched to Qatar in the past few years, the Iranian side voiced readiness to provide Qatar with its needed expert manpower.
During the ceremony to sign the accord, the Qatari minister stressed that Tehran and Doha enjoy consolidated amicable ties.
He added that the two countries leaders are determined to boost bilateral ties.
He said that his current visit to Tehran is taking place at the official invitation of his Iranian counterpart. Expressing his satisfaction with the presence of Iranian nationals in development projects in his country, al-Dosary added that the Qatari nation considers the Iranian people as their own brothers.
The Qatari leaders are interested in utilizing the valuable experiences of Iranian experts in various fields, he said.
He called for exchange of delegations between the two countries to discuss bilateral cooperation in the labor-related fields.
